The default location for CPQraidsw package is in /usr/local/steam. Some small portion of
CPQraidsw package will be installed in /var/local/CPQraidsw.
The default location for CPQqla2x00 package is in /var/local/CPQqla2x00. The appropriate
versions of qla2x00 and sg drivers will be relocated to /lib/modules/2.2.16…/scsi. The
sources of those drivers will be installed in /usr/src/linux/drivers/scsi.
Preparing LUNs for Use by the FileSystem
Each LUN created on the MA6000 appears as a SCSI hard disk to the host. Therefore, it
must be labeled before it can be used and, in most instances, a new file system must be
created.
Labeling LUNs
A LUN is labeled using the fdisk utility. The label contains information about the LUN
such as controller-type, geometry, and partitions. More details about the use of the fdisk
utility may be found in your operating system documentation.
