Mounting the CD-ROM
1. Mount the CD-ROM by entering a command similar to the following. This example
assumes your CD-ROM device file is soft-linked to /dev/cdrom and /cd is an existing
mount point:
# mount /dev/cdrom /cd
2. Change to the Linux directory by entering the following command:
# cd /cd/agents/linux
3. Get the name of the package by entering the following command:
# ls -lt
Your output will look like the following:
dr-xr-xr-x 2 root bin 512 Mar 21 09:17 .
dr-xr-xr-x 2 root bin 512 Mar 21 09:17 ..
dr-xr-xr-x 2 root bin 16378 Mar 21 09:17 install_stgwks

Installing the Linux Platform Kit Packages
IMPORTANT: You must be a root user to be able to perform this installation.
The Linux Platform Kit contains the following packages:
■ The CPQraidsw package includes the RAID Manager software (SWCC Agent).
■ The CPQqla2x00 package includes supported modules for the CPQ/Qlogic Fibre
Channel HBA driver and sg modules for SCSI Generic driver.
■ The CPQinstall package includes the installation scripts.
IMPORTANT: When installing the Linux Platform kit, be certain to install all packages in the
order shown below.
