System Error Message Formats
Error message formats for the switch are the same whether you are accessing the information from
the local RS-232 serial port or using a remote telnet session.
Errors are listed in reverse chronological order. Up to 64 messages can be held in the buffer. Once
the buffer limit is exceeded, the oldest message is deleted.
The errShow command displays all detected errors. The following information is displayed:
• Task ID
• Task name
• Date and time of the error
• Number of occurrences
• Error type
• Error level
• A description of the error
• The error number is displayed for diagnostic errors
Note: The error counter goes to a maximum of 999.
