Required software components

The following software is required to run HP XP FRS:

IMPORTANT NOTE: Correct software versions are crucial to

operation of FRS. Check the README file for required versions.

Command View XP management station software:

• SNMP must be enabled for SVP communication

• Command View XP with Secure Manager and Business Copy licenses

• Access.txt file containing server IP addresses

Production Server software:

• Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP1

• HP SecurePath or HP XP DSM MPIO (if multipathing is required)

• Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with SP1

• HP RAID Manager Library XP

• HP XP VSS Hardware Provider (VDS HWP is optional)

• HP FRS

Recovery Server software:

• Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with SP1

• HP SecurePath or HP XP DSM MPIO (if multipathing is required)

• Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2 or later from Sun Microsystems

• Exchange eseutil.exe and ese.dll files in the HP FRS installation
