Configuring the Command View XP management station and software
Install and configure the Command View XP management workstation
with the Command View XP software as explained in the Command View
XP Installation Guide. SNMP must be enabled (see Windows Help).
Follow these additional Command View XP configuration steps:
1. Connect the Command View XP workstation to the SVP and the FRS
servers via an ethernet LAN (if this has not already have been done).
2. In the access.txt configuration file in the following location, enter the
private IP addresses of the FRS production and recovery servers:
drive\HPSS\dm\tomcat\webapps\hpstmgmt\WEB-INF\cvapi\config
(drive is the hard drive where Command View XP is installed.)
For example, enter:
Localhost
15.75.*.*
15.106.*.*
Localhost is the Command View XP management station. Using
wildcards in the server addresses (*) provides any server in the subnets
15.75 and 15.106 access to the array through Command View XP. If
you prefer to give access only to the FRS hosts, enter their complete IP
addresses without wildcards.
