Starting EVM and Controlling Access
At resolutions lower than 1024 x 768 pixels, some portions of EVM menus may not be
viewable or accessible for input. At various resolutions, some portions of EVM menus
may not be viewable or accessible for input unless the browser is displayed at full
screen size.
Browsing to the EVM Network
To browse to an EVM network, the Management Appliance that supports the network
must be operating. Complete the following procedure from an open browser to browse
to an EVM network:
1. In the Address, Go to, or Location box, enter the Management Appliance name,
followed by port number :2301.
For example, if the Management Appliance is named “swma1A2B3C,” the proper
format to enter is http://swma1A2B3C:2301 (see Figure 7–4)
The Device Home Page for the Management Appliance displays (see Figure 7–5).
NOTE: If the Device Home Page does not display, see “EVM Logs” in Chapter 6.
