EVM Jobs and Job Management
Resume Purpose. Execute a specified resume operation on a
specific host.
Output. User application is resumed on the specified host.
Remarks. Place the
resume command inside double quotes,
since this command may contain spaces and special
characters.
Snap Unit Purpose. Create a snapshot unit of the specified source
unit.
Output. A new unit is created and set with no fabric
presentation (unit is not yet made visible to any host
computer).
Remarks. Applies only to snapshots.
Snap Volume Purpose. Create one or more snapshot units of one or more
of the units represented by the specified source volume.
Output. New units are created and set with no fabric
presentation (these units are not yet made visible to any
host computer).
Remarks. Applies only to snapshots.
Split Unit Purpose. Split off a member disk from a source unit and
create the specific destination unit.
Output. A new unit is created and set with no fabric
presentation (unit is not yet made visible to any host
computer).
Remarks. Applies only to clones implemented by mirror
copy.
Split Volume Purpose. Split off one or more member disks from one or
more units that belong to the source volume and create
appropriate destination units.
Output. New units are created and set with no fabric
presentation (these units are not yet made visible to any
host computer).
