Installation Guide
Be aware that:
Stopping an EVM host agent prevents the host computer from being recognized
by the EVM network.
Stopping an EVM host agent prevents any jobs involving that host from running
successfully.
When ready, go to the next section.
Starting the Removal
To remove the EVM host agent from a host computer, complete the following
procedure.
NOTE: During the installation procedure, press Enter to choose the default response. To view
more information, enter a question mark (?).
1. Open a terminal window and log on as a superuser.
2. Change the working directory to the one containing the EVM host agent.
For example, the default installation directory is .../usr/opt/CPQevm/bin.
3. Enter ./delete.sh to initiate the removal script (Figure 3–1 displays).

4. Press Enter (or enter y) to stop the EVM daemons and remove EVM (Figure 3–2
displays); enter n to exit the removal script.
The command prompt returns when the EVM host agent removal is complete.
SANworks Enterprise Volume Manager Host Agent V2.0D is
installed and the EVM daemons must be stopped to continue.
Two options exist:
- Allow this script to stop the EVM daemons and completely
remove EVM V2.0D.
- Exit now, use usr/opt/CPQevm/bin/evmshutdwn to halt the
EVM daemons, and then restart this script.
