Remove the smart media card from the replacement
CLM controller and set it aside.

Re-attach the smart media cover panel to the
replacement CLM controller.

Remove the smart media card from the existing
CLM controller and insert it into the smart media
slot in the replacement CLM controller.
• The metal on the smart media card should be
facing away from you, with the label pointing
to the left as you face the back of the cabinet.
• The smart media card fits against the green
guides on the side nearest you.

For both the existing and the replacement CLM
controllers, locate the smart media cover panel
and remove it by loosening the thumb screw that
secures it to the CLM controller.

Slide the replacement CLM controller into the
vacated bay from which the previous controller was
removed, resting the base of the CLM controller on
the support brackets on either side of the bay.

Caution: Handle the right
side of the CLM controller
gently, to avoid damage.
