Installation
Remove the plate that covers the drive bay in
which the drive will be installed.
Slide the upgrade drive into the drive cluster.
Check to see that the drive LED is green, and that
the cluster controller LED also shows green for the
upgraded drive.
Close the back door of the library.

Power on the library by pressing the power
button located on the front of the library
behind the laptop tray.

Attach one end of the SCSI cable to the new drive
module. Attach opposite end to the Interface
Controller if not already attached.
If needed, configure the library to show the
correct number of tape drives in the OCP as
follows:
a. Select Setup from the Menu screen on the
OCP.
b. Enter the 6 digit password.
c. Use the Down button to move to Configured
Drives, then press Select.
d. Use the Down button to change the drive
count to the actual number of drives.
e. Press Select to save the configuration.

Identify the location for the new tape drive.
If the drive did not power itself on, use the OCP
to power on the drive now.
a. From Menu, select the Ops button.
b. Use the Up and Down buttons to select the
drive, then press the Select button.
c. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the
drive to on-line, then press the Select button.
d. Select the Back button to return to Menu.
