Application Notes - Maximizing Efficiency Through Data Replication Manager Data Movement 39
SET UnitNumber PREFERRED_PATH=THIS_CONTROLLER
Example: set d1 preferred_path=this_controller
SET UnitNumber MAXIMUM_CACHED_TRANSFER_SIZE=Number
Example: set d1 maximum_cached_transfer_size=128
T 14. From the target controller, reconnect the intersite link by issuing the following commands:
SET THIS_CONTROLLER PORT_Number_TOPOLOGY=FABRIC
Example: set this_controller port_2_topology=fabric
SET OTHER_CONTROLLER PORT_Number_TOPOLOGY=FABRIC
Example: set other_controller port_2_topology=fabric
Several completion messages display that confirm the link is established.
T 15. Add the new LUN as a target (refer to callout 8 on Figure 12). Issue the following command:
SET RemoteCopySetName ADD=RemoteNodeName\TargetUnitName
Example: set rcs1 add=BUILDNGA\d1
Refer to Example Display 36 for a sample completion message of this command. The instance
code confirms the action was completed.

T 16. Allow the remote copy set to normalize. Verify normalization with the following command:
SHOW REMOTE_COPY_SETS FULL
Verify normalization with a message like that shown in Example Display 37. Note that
normalization is complete when the target state is NORMAL.
