SET UnitNumber ENABLE_ACCESS_PATH=HostIDs
Example: set d1 enable_access_path=BUILDNGAa,BUILDNGAb,BUILDNGAc,BUILDNGAd
SET UnitNumber PREFERRED_PATH=THIS_CONTROLLER
Example: set d1 preferred_path=this_controller
SET UnitNumber MAXIMUM_CACHED_TRANSFER_SIZE=Number
Example: set d1 maximum_cached_transfer_size=128
I 5. From the initiator controller, add the new target LUN to the remote copy set (refer to callout 3 on
Figure 12). Issue the command:
SET RemoteCopySet ADD=RemoteNodeName\TargetUnitName
Example: set rcs1 add=BUILDNGB\d1
Example Display 30 shows a sample completion message. The instance code in the completion
message confirms that the action was performed.

%EVL--BUILDNGA Top-> --14-JAN-2001 07:05:51 (time not set)-- Instance Code: 0E050064

I 6. Make sure the remote copy set finishes normalizing. Execute the following command and note the
status at the end of each remote copy set. It should state that the LUN is NORMAL.
SHOW REMOTE_COPY_SETS FULL
Example Display 31 shows a sample output of this command.
Example Display 31
Name Uses Used by

Target state:
BUILDNGB\D1 is NORMAL
RCS3 remote copy D3

Target state:
BUILDNGB\D3 is NORMAL
I 7. At this point, the host I/O to the LUN must be halted (refer to callout 4 on Figure 12). There are
three ways this can be accomplished.
• Shut down the host.
• Remove access to the remote copy sets.
• Set the initiator port 1 offline.
