Fabric Watch Configuration Setup
Four user interfaces can be used to configure the Fabric Watch software:
• Telnet
• Web Tools
• SNMP-based management stations
• The configuration file
Of these, the Telnet and Web Tools interfaces are detailed in this document. A brief explanation of how
to use the configuration file with Telnet is also provided.
Configuring Fabric Watch with the Telnet Method
A Telnet session allows you to:
• Use the help command to display a list of valid Telnet commands in alphabetical order. The
command syntax to display detailed information about specific commands is help command,
where command is the specific command (for example, fwShow).
• Use the fwHelp command to display a list of all Fabric Watch Telnet commands.
• Query fabric and switch events with the fwShow command.
