3. Enter the following on the command line:
licenseAdd “key”
where key is the license key you have been provided, surrounded by double quotes. The license key
is case sensitive and must be entered exactly as issued.
4. Verify the license was added by entering the following command:
licenseShow
If the license does not appear, repeat step 3.
Activating the License Key through Web Tools
To activate Fabric Watch using Web Tools, perform the following steps:
1. Launch your Web browser and enter the switch name or IP address in the Location/Address field.
The Web Tools software launches and displays the Fabric View window with a number of switches
shown, depending on your fabric. Figure 5 shows a Fabric View window with four switches. (Web
Tools can also be accessed through Fabric Manager.)

2. Click the Admin View button on the desired switch control panel. The logon window is
displayed.
3. Enter a logon name and password with administrative privileges and press Enter. The
Administrative View is displayed.
4. Select the Lic Admin tab (see Figure 6), enter the license key in the License Key field, and click
Add.
