CAUTION: If the Fibre Channel optical cable is not properly connected to the
controller, failure may result. Because of the cable’s frail nature, it must also be
regularly maintained, or its performance and life span will be affected. Before
proceeding, it is important to administer the precautionary measures detailed in the
HSG80 Array Controller ACS Version 8.5 Maintenance and Service Guide.
The tables (below) provide an overview of the connections that you will need to make at
and between each site. Specific connection information is covered in more detail in the
Configuration chapter. Do not make any connections at this time.
