2. Add targets to the remote copy sets by issuing the following CLI commands:
SET RemoteCopySetName ADD = InitiatorRemoteCopyName\UnitName
Issue this command for every remote copy set that does not have a target.
NOTE: You must wait for normalization on all remote copy sets to complete before you can
proceed.
3. Shut down the target site controllers (in this order) with the following CLI commands:
SHUTDOWN OTHER_CONTROLLER
SHUTDOWN THIS_CONTROLLER
Perform Site Failover From the Initiator Site
1. In this instance the site_failover command allows you to move from the target
controllers to the initiator controllers:
SITE_FAILOVER TargetRemoteCopyName\RemoteCopySetName
2. Issue this command for every remote copy set that does not have a target.
You will see a %EVL message on your terminal.
Repeat this step for each remote copy set.
Restart Controllers From the Target Site
1. Both controllers on the target site must be restarted after the site failover has taken
place. Press the Reset button.
2. Delete only the newly created remote copy sets using the following CLI commands:
DELETE RemoteCopySetName
Repeat this command for every remote copy set that added a target.
3. Return to step 7 in the “Failback” section on page 5-25 of this chapter.
