IMPORTANT: You must wait for normalization on all remote copy sets to complete before you
can proceed.
3. Re-enable logging or failsafe, if desired. To set failsafe, use the following CLI
command:
SET RemoteCopySetName ERROR_MODE = FAILSAFE
Failsafe cannot be set if the remote copy set is within an association set that is to be used for
write history logging.
To re-enable logging, create the log unit, then create the association set and assign a
log unit to the association set.
NOTE: Refer to the Configuration chapter for information on how to create association sets and
configure association sets for write history logging.
4. Enable access to the initiator hosts by using the following CLI command:
SET UnitName ENABLE=(InitiatorHostConnectionNamex,InitiatorHostConnectionNamey)
5. To verify that the LUNs are configured correctly, use these commands:
SHOW UNITS FULL
SHOW REMOTE_COPY_SETS FULL
SHOW ASSOCIATIONS FULL
6. For Windows NT reboot the host at the initiator site, and log in as Administrator. You
should be able to see all of the drives in My Computer.
7. For OpenVMS, if you have shut down the host, boot the host at this time. Booting the
host enables OpenVMS to recognize the drives. If you did not shut down the host, use
the following command from a privileged account to enable OpenVMS to recognize
the drives:
MCR SYSMAN I0 AUTOCONFIGURE/LOG
Failing Back New Remote Copy Sets
From the Target Site Add Remote Copy Set Targets
1. Identify the remote copy sets that do not have a target by issuing the following CLI
command:
SHOW REMOTE_COPY_SETS FULL
Make a note of any remote copy set with a Target State of “No Targets.”
