Inspect the port state and LED status for all ports with an attention indicator.

1. At the Hardware View, double-click the port graphic with the attention

indicator. The Port Properties dialog box displays.

2. Inspect the Operational State field at the Port Properties dialog box, and the

emulated green and amber LEDs adjacent to the port at the Hardware View.

3. Table 14 lists LED and port operational state combinations and associated

MAP 0600 (or other) steps that describe fault isolation procedures.

A link incident may have occurred, but the LIN alerts option is not enabled for the

port and the attention indicator does not appear.

At the Hardware View, click Logs > Link Incident Log. The Link Incident Log

displays. If a link incident occurred, the affected port number is listed with one of

the following messages.

■ Link interface incident - implicit incident

■ Link interface incident - bit-error threshold

exceeded
