Procedural Notes
Note the following:
1. Read the removal and replacement procedures (RRPs) for that FRU before
removing the FRU.
2. Follow all WAR N I N G and CAUTION statements and statements in the
preface of this manual.
3. After completing a FRU replacement, clear the event code reporting the
failure and the event code reporting the recovery from the switch Event Log
(at the HAFM appliance). Extinguish the amber system error (ERR)
light-emitting diode (LED) at the switch front panel.
Remove and Replace FRUs
This section describes procedures to remove and replace concurrent switch FRUs,
along with tools required to perform each procedure. Concurrent FRUs are
removed and replaced while the switch is powered on and operational.
Table 24 lists concurrent FRUs that are removed and replaced while the switch is
powered on and operational. The table also lists ESD precautions (yes or no) for
each FRU, and references the page number of the removal and replacement
procedure.
