The New Threshold Alerts dialog box is displayed (Figure 31).

3. Enter a name from one to 64 characters in length in the Threshold Alert Name box. All

characters in the ISO Latin-1 character set, excluding control characters, are allowed.

4. Select one of the following from the Threshold Type drop-down list:

• Transmit—An alert occurs if the threshold set for transmit throughput is reached.

• Receive—An alert occurs if the threshold set for receive throughput is reached.

• Receive And Transmit—An alert occurs if the threshold set for either receive or transmit

throughput is reached.

5. Click Next.

A new screen is displayed with additional parameters (Figure 32). The name configured for the

alert is displayed at the top of the screen.
