The Configure Date and Time dialog box is displayed (Figure 17).

2. To set the date and time manually, see ”Setting the date and time manually” on page 39. Or, to
periodically synchronize the date and time, see .
Setting the date and time manually
To set the Edge Switch date and time manually:
1. At the Configure Date and Time dialog box, clear the Periodic Date/Time Synchronization check
box.
The greyed out Date and Time fields are activated.
2. Click the Date boxes that require change, and enter numbers in the following ranges:
Month (MM): 1 through 12
Day (DD): 1 through 31
Year (YYYY): greater than 1980
3. Click the Time boxes that require change, and enter numbers in the following ranges:
Hour (HH): 0 through 23
Minute (MM): 0 through 59
Second (SS): 0 through 59
4. Click Activate to set the Edge Switch date and time and close the Configure Date and Time
dialog box.
Periodically synchronizing the date and time
To periodically synchronize the Edge Switch date and time with the HAFM appliance:
1. Select the Periodic Date/Time Synchronization check box.
The Date and Time fields are greyed out.
2. Perform one of the following actions:
•Click Activate to enable synchronization and close the Configure Date and Time dialog box.
The Edge Switch date and time synchronize with the HAFM appliance date and time at the
next update period (at least once daily).
•Click Sync Now to synchronize the Edge Switch and HAFM appliance immediately.
The Date and Time Synced dialog box is displayed.
3. Click OK to synchronize the date and time and close the Date and Time Synced dialog box, and
then click Activate to enable synchronization and close the Configure Date and Time dialog box.
