Installation Tasks
Task 1: Verify Installation Requirements
Verify the following requirements are met prior to switch, SANpilot
interface, or management server installation. Ensure:
• A site plan is prepared, configuration planning tasks are
complete, planning considerations are evaluated, and related
planning checklists are complete. Refer to McDATA Products in a
SAN Environment - Planning Manual (620-000124) for information.
• Storage area network (SAN), director, fabric switch, and Fibre
Channel arbitrated loop (FC-AL) device connectivity are
evaluated, and the related planning worksheet is complete. Refer
to the McDATA Products in a SAN Environment - Planning Manual
(620-000124) for information.
Task 13: Configure the Switch to the Management
Application.
Required if the management server is installed. 2-76
Task 14: Record or Verify Server Restore Information. Required if the management server is installed. 2-78

Task 16: Configure PFE Key (Optional). Optional - configure if a product feature enablement
