Figure 4-12 Product Status Log
The log reflects the previous and current status of the switch, and
indicates the instance of a Sphereon 4500 Element Manager
application that should be opened to investigate a problem. The
information is useful to maintenance personnel for fault isolation and
repair verification. The log consists of the following columns:
• Date/Time - Date and time the switch status change occurred.
• Network Address - IP address or configured name of the switch.
This address or name corresponds to the address or name
displayed under the product icon at the physical map.
• Previous Status - Status of the switch prior to the reported status
change (Operational, Degraded, Failed, OutofBand Online, or
Unknown). An Unknown status indicates the SAN management
application cannot communicate with the switch.
• New Status - Status of the switch after to the reported status
change (Operational, Degraded, Failed, OutofBand Online, or
Unknown).
