Flexport
Edge Switches (2/24 and 2/32) can be purchased at a discount without all Fibre
Channel ports enabled. The optional Flexport feature is a hardware port expansion
kit that allows customers to upgrade switch capacity on demand in eight-port
increments. Flexport kits are available to upgrade the:
■ Edge Switch 2/24 from 8 to 16 ports, or from 16 to 24 ports.
■ Edge Switch 2/32 from 16 to 24 ports, or from 24 to 32 ports.
Each port expansion kit includes eight SFP optical transceivers and upgrade
instructions.
To enable the added port capacity through the Product Manager application, a
feature key must be purchased and installed through the Configure Feature Key
dialog box. There are no other configuration options in HAFM or Product
Manager for this feature.
