5. If you have OpenVMS version 7.2-1 on an Alpha computer with MultiNet
and/or TCPware TCP/IP stacks, you must install the security patch from the
Process Software web site at
http://www.process.com .
6. If you have an HSJ40 controller, check the controller firmware revision level.
If your controller is at version 3.2J you must upgrade to version 3.4J before
installing the Agent. This is due to an issue with the 3.2J firmware that causes
controller hangs intermittently when used with the Agent.
To upgrade your Solution Software in conjunction with an ACS rolling upgrade
on an OpenVMS system, follow the instructions below:
The first effort is to remove the HS-Series Agent from OpenVMS.
WARNING: This OpenVMS uninstallation will remove all configuration files.
To fully remove agent software, including client and storage data:
1. $ @sys$manager:swcc_config
2. Choose 3) Agent Disable/Stop
3. Choose 4) Uninstall Agent
Note: This OpenVMS uninstallation All client and storage files will be preserved.
To remove agent software only and save client and storage data:
1. $ @sys$manager:swcc_config
2. Choose 3) Agent Disable/Stop
3. Choose E) Exit configuration procedure.
4. $ product remove swcc
The second effort is upgrade the HS-Series Agent on OpenVMS:
1. Install the new SWCC Agent using the POLYCENTER Software Installation
utility.
a. Copy the OpenVMS installation file from the Solution Software
CD-ROM.
b. Install the new Agent using the instructions provided. For example:
$ product install <product-name>
