Fabric OS 5.0.x support and interoperability
Fabric OS 5.1.0 a nd later will not be supported on the HP StorageWorks Core Switch
2/64. TheHPStorageWorksCoreSwitch2/64CPUandmemorysizearelimitedin
their capacities to accommodate the new firmware. Attempting to download Fabric OS
5.1.0 or higher firmware to a Core Switch 2/64 model results in a “Firmwaredownload
failed” error.
Fabric OS 5
.1.0 and later will not be s upported on the Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP
p-Class BladeSystem, or the Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP c-Class BladeSystems.
These switches will remain on the Fabric OS 5.0.x firmware stream for compatibility with
other bla
de products. Bug fixes made available for the 5.1.x stream will also be made
availab
le for the 5.0.x stream, if applicable. A s with other firmware releases, the 5.0.x
and 5.1.x streams will m aintain full interoperabilit y.
