c. Enter “Y” after the “Fabric parameters” prompt.

e. Complete the remaining prompts or press CTRL+D to accept the other
settings and exit.
f. Re-enable the switch by entering the following command:
switchEnable
11.Optional: Specify any custom status policies by completing the following
steps:
a. To access the status policy, enter the following command at the
prompt:
switchStatusPolicySet
b. Complete the prompts to specify policies you want. To completely
deactivate the alarm for a particular condition, enter “0” at the prompt
for that condition.
12.Add SFP transceivers and cables to the Fibre Channel ports as required
by completing the following steps:
Note The ports are color-coded to indicate which ones can be used in the
same trunking groups: four ports marked with black solid ovals alternate
with four ports marked with oval outlines. The ports and cables used in
trunking groups must meet specific requirements. For a list of these
requirements, refer to the hp StorageWorks isl trunking user’s guide.
a. Position one of the SFP transceivers so that the key is oriented
correctly to the port, and insert the SFP into the port until it is firmly
seated and the latching mechanism clicks.
Note SFP transceivers are keyed so that they can only be inserted with
the correct orientation into a port. If an SFP does not slide in easily,
ensure it is correctly oriented. For more specific instructions, refer to the
SFP manufacturers documentation.
