• Volume icon: Indicates the status of volumes.

•

•

• VOL:Displaysthe port number,hostgroup number,and LU number (LDKC:CU
:LDEV) of the local
volume in order. These numbers are separated by hyphens.
Note: If # is a
ddedtothe endof an
LDEV number (for example, 00:00:3C#), the LDEV is an external volume. For details on external

Status:(see “Pair Status” on page 27 for further information on Continuous Access pair status)
: SMPL. The volume is not c urrently assigned to a Continuous Access pa
ir. When the initial
copy is started by a paircreate operation, the volume status changes to COPY.

: COPY. The Continuous Access i nitial copy operation is in progres
s. Data on the pair is
not
fully identical. When the initial copy is complete, the statu

will change to PAIR.

: PAIR. Thevolumeiscurrently assigned to aContinuousAccesspair, andthe pair is
synchronized. All updates from the host to the P-VOL are duplicated at the S-VOL.

: PSUE. The pair has been suspended by the MCU or RCU due to an error condition. The
volumes in this pair are not synchronized.
: PSUS. The pair has been split by the user (pairsplit-r) , or th
e pair
has been released by
the
user from the RCU (pairsplit-S). The volumes in this pair are not synchronized.

: PDUB. This Continuous Access LUSE pair is in the COPY or PAIR state, but at least
one
LDEV pair within the Continuous Access LUSE pair is in the SMPL or PSUE state.

: Suspending. Continuous Access Asynchronous only. This pair is n ot synchronized. This
pair is in transition from the PAIR or COPY state to the PSUS/PSUE state.

: Deleting. Continuous Access Asynchronous only. This pair is not synchronized. This p air

transition from the PAIR, COPY, or PSUS/PSUE state to the SMPL state.
• Sub: Suspend Sub Status
• Grp: Update consistency of the volume is the same as that
of the
consistency group.
• LU: Update consistency of the volume is not the same as that of the consistency group.
• OFF: Suspendedbythe PS OFFbythe MCU.
• S/N of the other system (MCU or RCU) of the pair.
• ID: SSID of the other storage system (MCU or RCU) of the pair, or pa th group I D that you entered
at
RCU registration.
• Paired VOL:Displaysthe port number,hostgroup num
ber, and LU number (LDKC:CU:LDEV) of the
remote volume in this order. These numbers are separated by hyphens.
Note: If # is added to the end of LDEV num ber (for example, 00:00:3C#), the LDEV is an

• Type: Pair mode: Synchronous or Asynchronous.
• Fence: The P-VOL fence level of the Continuous Access pair: data, status, or never. See
