Recovering from Failures at the Primary Site and the Continuous Access Synchronous
Secondary Site
If a disaster or failure occurs at both the primary site and the Continuous Access Synchronous secondary
site in a 3
DC multi-target conguration, you can resume your business tasks by using the secondary
volume at
the
Continuous Access Journal secondary site. After you transfer bus iness tasks to the
Continuous Access Journal secondar y site, you need to remove failures from the primary site and the
Continuous Access Synchronous secondary site, so that you will be able to transfer the business tasks
back to t
he
primar y site.
To transfer your business tasks to the Continuous Access Journal secondary site, follow the procedure
below. R A ID Manager is used in this procedure:
1. Use RAID
Manager to execute the horctakeover command on the Continuous Access Journal pair.
2. Usethe volume at theContinuousAccessJournal secondarysiteto resumeyourbusinesstasks.
