Hitachi Universal Replicator for z/OS User Guide: HP XP12000 Disk Array, HP XP10000 Disk Array, HP 200 Storage Virtualization System (T1778-96021, May 2011)

Notes:
The CU emulation type 3990-6, 3990-6E, 2105, or 2107 is required for SMS I/O time
stamping of URz journals. If one of these CU emulation types is used, volumes of the 3380
emulation type must not be used.
The CU emulation type H-65A2 is used for the HITAC M series and supports all types of M
series volumes.
Table 11 (page 42) lists the volumes and the volume capacity that can be used for the URz data
volume and journal volume.
The capacity of journal volume is not included in the accounting capacity.

Capacity of OPEN-V volumes can be
determined freely, depending on VLL
volume specifications. The minimum
capacity is 48.1 MB, and the maximum
capacity is the same as the user capacity
of one RAID group.
NOTE: The default capacity of an
OPEN-V volume is the same as the capacity
of a RAID group, and depends on the hard
disk drive type and the RAID configuration.
OPEN-V volumes cannot be used as
data volumes
