Calling the HDS Support Center
If you need to call the Hitachi Support Center, make sure to provide as much
information about the problem as possible, including:
• The USP V Storage Navigator configuration information saved on diskette
using the FD Dump Tool (see the Storage Navigator User’s Guide)
• The circumstances surrounding the error or failure
• The exact content of any error messages displayed on the host system(s)
• The TCz (or other) error code(s) displayed on the USP V Storage Navigator
• The remote service information messages (R-SIMs) and the reference codes
and severity levels of the recent R-SIMs
