HP StorageWorks XP24000 Continuous Access Software User and Reference Guide, v01 (T5278-96002, June 2007)

The History List displays the histor y information for the Continuous Access pairs in the connected
storage system. Continuous Access history information is saved for seven days, and the maximum
amount of information that can be saved is 524,288. By default, the list is in the order in which
the
information was received from the storage system.
The History List displays the following information:
Operation Date/Time: The d ate and time when the operation was completed.
Star t Date/Time: The date a nd time when the operation was started.
Operation: The operations are:
Pairing Start: Add pa ir operation was started.
Pairing Complete: Add pair op eration was completed.
Pair Delete: The pair was released.
Suspend Operation: Pair suspending operation was performed.
Pair Suspend (Failure): The pair was suspended because of a failure.
Pair Resync. Start: Resynchronize pair operation was started.
Pair Resync. Complete: Resynchronize pair operation was completed.
VOL: LDKC numb er, CU number, and LDEV number of the op erated volume.
Paired VOL: LD KC number, CU number, and LDEV number of the paired volume.
Copy Time: The time taken for the operation (from the start of the operation to the end).
Displayed only for Pairing Complete and Pair Resync. Complete operations.
If
Operation displays Pairing Complete or Pair Resync. Complete,but Copy Time displays
nothing, you can check the copy time in the Detailed Information dialog box.
Note:
For Continuous Access pairs cons isting of LUN Expansion (LUSE) volumes, the number of
Pair Suspend (Failure) rows in the history list does not correspond to the number of LDEVs in the
LUSE volume. For LUSE volumes with three or more LDEVs, only two rows showing Pair Suspend
(Failure) are displayed.
Note:
Even if several errors occur at the same time, only t wo rows showing Pair Suspend (Failure)
are displayed.
Note:
History information older than seven days is automatically deleted. However, if the number
of
operations exceeds 524,288, the oldest operations are deleted in chronological order to
keep the number at 524,288, even if the op erations occurred within the last week. The history
le always contains the most recent operations up to a maximum of 65,535 operations. The
maintenance information for an entire week may not always be available.
Note:
The history information can be sorted by column in ascending o r descending order.
Page displays the page number in the following format:
Currently displayed page number / number of pages
If no
history le exists, it will display as 0/0.
Previous and Next buttons: The list displays up to a maximum of 16,384 operations at a time.
Usethese buttonsto display thepreviousornext16,384 operations.
Export button: You ca n obtain the history le in the CSV le format.
Note:
Even though the update process is in progress, you can download the history le, but there
is a
possibility that the history le contains the data before the update. HP re commends that you
obtain the history le when the status is Complete.
Note:
When you can access the local le in the Remote Web Console computer, you can download the
history le. When you cannot access the local le, the Export button is not displayed on the History
window. For further information on the settings for acc essing local les, see the HP StorageWorks
XP24000 Remote Web Console User’s Guide.
Note:
The dates and times displayed on the History window are the storage system SVP date/time, which
may or may not correspond to the local time or host time.
System Option Window
The System Option window (see Figure 25 on page 67) allows you to change the option settings for the
storagesystem (see“Changing the Option Settings of Storage System on page 93) .
