P-VOL Fence Level (sync only): Never, Data, or Status (see “Pair Options” on page 110).
S-VOL Write: Enabled or disabled for this pair (enabled only when the pair is split).
Pair Established: Date and time that the pair was created.
Last Updated: Date and time that the pair status was last updated.
Pair Copy Time: Time that was taken to copy the pairs.
Note
: The time that is shown in Pair Copy Time differs from the time that is shown in Copy Time on the
History window .
To create a p air:
1. The MCU receives a request to create a pair.
2. The MCU receives a request to start the paircreate operation.
3. The paircreate o peration is started according to the conditions of initial copy priority and
maximum initial co py activities.
Pair Copy Time on the Detailed Information dialog box shows the amount of time that has been ne ede d
from step 3 to the completion of the paircreate operation (that is, the pro gress of the paircreate operation
reaches 100%).
Copy Time on the History window shows the amount of time that has been needed from step 1 to the
completion of the paircreate operation.

Check box, Refresh th e Pair Operation window after this dialog box is c losed:To refresh the Pair
Operation window after closing the Detailed Information dialog box, click the check box. By default,
the
check box is not selected.
The Previous button displays the pair status information for the previous pair in the list (the pair in the
row
above). The Next button displays the pair status information for the next pair in the list (the pair
in the
row below). The Refresh button updates the pair status information. The Close button closes
the
Detailed Information dialog box.
Note:
The Display Filter settings (see “Display Filter” on page 103) can affect how Previous or Next is
recognized.
Note:
Thelistdisplaysamaximumof4,096 rows at once. The Previous and Next buttons on the Detailed
Information dialog box can only be used for the currently displayed 4,096 rows .
Splitting Continuous Access Pairs
The Pairsplit-r dialog box (see Figure 50 on page 115) allows you to split existing Continuous Access
pairs and select the pairsplit options for the pair(s). To open the Pairsplit-r dialog box, click the Pair
Operation tab, select a CU grouping, CU, port, or host group from the tree, select the d esired pair,
right-click, and then click the Pairsplit-r command. For further information on split Continuous Access
