NOTE: For Fibre Channel interface connections, use the switches as ordinary switch connections.
No special settings are required for the array.
Fibre Channel interface connection provides the following configurations:
• Direct connection: Two devices are connected directly.

• Switch connection: Up to three optical fibre cables (per hard zone) are connected via switches
to connect the devices. Up to two switches can be used.

• Extender connection: Protocol converters and switches are used to connect devices across
large distances.
