Cannot authenticate on the local machine with a virtual host name
To successfully authenticate on the local machine by the virtual host name (for
example, a Virtual SQL Server, Virtual Host, or Virtual CIFS Server) the
DisableLoopbackCheck flag must be set. Microsoft KB article 926642 documents
the following procedure to do this.
To set the DisableLoopbackCheck registry entry to 1, follow these steps on each
cluster node:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
