--product_id <id>
A unique identifier for the HP PolyServe Software product definition to be installed.
<server_name [server_name1...]> | ALL_SERVERS
The servers on which the SQL Server instance will be upgraded.
installInstall or upgrade one or more SQL or SSAS instances on one or more servers
Some of the options apply only to SQL instances or SSAS instances. Be careful to
use the correct options when installing an instance.
SQL instance installations:
mx mni install --template <file> --instance “<name> [<name>]...”
--product_id <id> --mniuser <domain>\<username> [--mnipassword <password>]
<server_name [server_name1...]> | ALL_SERVERS
SSAS instance installations:
mx mni install [--template <file>] --instanceSSAS “<name> [<name>]...”
--product_id <id> --mniuser <domain>\<username> [--mnipassword <password>]
--serverSSAS <server_name [server_name1...]> | ALL_SERVERS
The options are:
[--template <file>]
The template file to be used for this installation.
--instance “<name> [<name>]...”
The SQL instance names to be created. If you specify multiple names, use spaces
to separate them.
--instanceSSAS “<name> [<name>]...”
The SSAS instance names to be created. If you specify multiple names, use spaces
to separate them.
--product_id <id>
A unique identifier for the HP PolyServe Software product definition to be installed.
See the description of the setproduct option for more information about cre-
ating a product definition.
--mniuser <domain>\<username>
Perform the installation on the behalf of the specified user.
[--mnipassword <password>]
The password for the user specified by --mniuser. When this option is used,
you will see a password prompt once for every server for all installs.
