4.0.0 HP Polyserve Matrix Server Administration Guide (T5392-96052, March 2010)
• The mprepair command can be used to display information about membership
partitions and to perform all operations affecting membership partitions. Matrix
Server must be offline on all nodes when this command is used.
Online operations
When Matrix Server is running, the Add, Repair, and Replace options on the Storage
Settings tab and the mx config mp set and repair commands can be used
only in the following circumstances:
• A disk containing a membership partition is out-of-service. Use the replace option
or mx config mp set to move the partition to another disk.
• You need to move one or more membership partitions to different storage. Use
the replace option or mx config mp set to move the partitions one-at-a-time.
• In a cluster with three membership partitions, when Matrix Server started on a
server, it reported that a single membership partition was corrupt. Use the repair
option or mx config mp repair to resilver the partition. You can also replace
the partition with the replace option or mx config mp set.
• Your cluster contains a single membership partition and you want to add two
more partitions. Use the add option or mx config mp set.
• While the cluster is running, two membership partitions are reported to be corrupt.
Use the repair option or mx config mp repair to resilver the partitions. You
can also replace the partition with the replace option or mx config mp set.
NOTE:
Matrix Server must be offline on all nodes when performing all other membership
partition operations.
