4.0.0 HP Polyserve Matrix Server Administration Guide (T5392-96052, March 2010)
When configuring the new cluster, click Import to import the file containing the
Role-Based Security settings. The imported settings will replace any current Role-Based
Security settings.
To import or export Role-Based Security settings from the command line, use these
commands:
mx role export [--permissionOnly] <file>
mx role import [--permissionOnly] <file>
The --permissionOnly option omits the list of role members from the import or
export.
Enable or disable a role
When a role is disabled, users belonging to the role will not have the rights assigned
to the role. Roles are enabled or disabled on the Role Properties window. Select the
role on the Role-Based Security Control Panel and click Edit to display the Role
Properties window.
To enable or disable a role from the command line, use these commands:
mx role enable <role>
mx role disable <role>
Modify a role
You can change the configuration of a role by selecting the role on the Role-Based
Security Control Panel and then clicking Edit.
If a server is offline when changes are made to a role, the new configuration will not
take effect until the server has rejoined the cluster.
Rename a role
When you rename a role, accounts belonging to the role automatically become
members of the new role. Roles are renamed on the Role Properties window. Select
the role on the Role-Based Security Control Panel and click Edit to display the Role
Properties window.
