• Setup. Manipulate settings that affect the entire cluster configuration, including
membership partitions, licensing, snapshot configuration, fencing configuration,
servers, notification settings, and security roles. The Event Notification, Security,
and Servers resources are subsets of this resource.
• Event Notifications. Configure event notification settings. Create affects the
ability to enable or disable notifiers. Modify affects the ability to configure
the event notifiers (SNMP, email, script) and to select the events that will trigger
notifications. Delete has no effect.
• Security. Manipulate the roles and role memberships in the cluster. Create
affects the ability to add or import new roles. Modify affects the ability to
change existing roles or memberships. Delete affects the ability to remove
roles.
• Servers. Configure the set of servers that make up this cluster. Create affects
the ability to add servers and network interfaces. Modify affects the ability to
change server or interface-specific settings. Delete affects the ability to remove
servers and network interfaces.
• Storage. Import LUNs and manage volumes and filesystems. The Volumes and

• Filesystems. Manipulate filesystems. Create affects the ability to create new
filesystems. Modify affects the ability to modify the filesystem, including actions
such as snapshot, mount, unmount, extend, recreate, and assign drive letters.

• Applications. Manipulate virtual hosts, service monitors, device monitors and File

ability to change existing application objects, including adding new servers
to an object and rehosting objects. Delete affects the ability to delete applica-

application objects, including File Services and Matrix File Shares. This re-
source is available when HP PolyServe Software for Windows File Serving is
