rplmonitor includes debug flags that can be used to generate debug messages.
These flags are intended for diagnostic purposes only and should not be used under
normal conditions. The flags are:
-v or --verbose
Print debug messages on the console.
-s or --verbosesentinel
Print sentinel-related debug messages on the console.
-w or --verbosewatch
Pass the verbose flag to rplwatch threads spawned by rplmonitor.
-t or --verbosetransport
Pass the verbose flag to the transport process created by rplwatch.
rplstatus report the replication state
Synopsis
/opt/hpcfs/bin/rplstatus [-status] [-sentinel]
Description
With no options, the rplstatus command reports the state information for the
cluster and for each individual node. The command also reports the preferred sentinel
node, and, if replication is running, the current sentinel node.
The replication states are:
DescriptionState
Configured. A replication configuration file has been imported and replication can
be started.
1
Running. The replication program rplmonitor is running.2
Waiting. An internal state indicating that rplmonitor is in transition to the running
state and is waiting for the administrative filesystem to become available.
3
Stopped. The replication program is running but the worker threads that perform the
replication are not running.
4
Exited. The replication program either exited because of a fatal error or was termin-
ated from the command line.
5
In the following example, replication is in state 2 (running), which is the normal state.
