Description
This command should be run only at the request of HP personnel.
log_collect – obtain log files
Synopsis
/opt/hpcfs/tools/log_collect
Description
This command is used internally by the mxcollect utility and should not be run
directly.
mcs – manipulate the cluster log
This utility provides several commands that are used internally by HP Scalable NAS;
however the following commands may be useful when administering a cluster.
mcs log – add a message to the cluster event log
Synopsis
/opt/hpcfs/tools/mcs log [-a 12-18] “<message>”
Description
This command adds a message to the cluster event log.
The option is:
-a 12-18
The cluster log provides seven categories, User1 through User7, that can be used
for user-defined messages. The default category is User1. In the command, use
12 to represent User1, 13 to represent User2, and so on up to 18 for user7. For
example:
mcs log -a 13 “This is my message”
