HP Scalable NAS also provides two MIBs that can be loaded into the MIB browser
tool provided with your Network Management Station (NMS). The MIBs are named
mxsnmp.mib and mxtrap.mib and are located in the /opt/hpcfs/lib/snmp
directory.
Start or stop snmpd
Use the following commands to start or stop snmpd:
/etc/init.d/snmpd start
/etc/init.d/snmpd stop
HP Scalable NAS processes and mxinit
When HP Scalable NAS is running on a server, the following HP Scalable NAS
processes should be active:
The ClusterPulse daemonclusterpulse
The PanPulse daemonpanpulse
The SANPulse daemonsanpulse
The Distributed Lock Manager daemondlm
The cluster-wide communications daemongrpcommd
The distributed event subscription and notification servicemxeventd
The log daemonmxlogd
The daemon responsible for gathering performance datamxperfd
The mxinit daemon
mxinit
The embedded web server daemon used by the Management Console and
the mx utility
pswebsvr
Do not terminate any of these processes; they are required for HP Scalable NAS
operations.
