• Remove the server entries from the .matrixrc file. Then specify one of the
servers on the HP Scalable NAS Connect window. When the Authentication
Parameters dialog appears, check Add to Bookmarks.
Including passwords in the .matrixrc file is now optional. You can remove the
passwords from your file if desired, or select the bookmark entry on the Connect
window and click Reset.
For more information about the .matrixrc file, see the HP Scalable NAS File
Serving Software command reference guide.
Disconnect from a cluster
To close the Management Console window for the current server, either select Cluster
> Disconnect or click Disconnect on the toolbar. You can then log into another cluster,
reconnect or configure the current cluster, or exit the Management Console.
Exit a Management Console session
To end a console session, select Cluster > Exit or click Disconnect and then select
Exit Console. The cluster will continue to operate after you disconnect from it. You
do not need to have an open Management Console connection to a cluster.
Manage a cluster from the command line
The mx utility allows you to manage HP Scalable NAS from the command line. See
the HP Scalable NAS File Serving Software command reference guide for more
information about mx.
PSFS filesystems can also be managed with Linux shell commands. Changes made
with these commands are reflected on the Management Console.
The Management Console
When you connect to the cluster via mxconsole, the Management Console appears.
The Management Console window has four tabs that show different views of the
cluster.
