• A windowing environment must be installed and configured.
Install and start the stand-alone console
Windows systems
Copy the console file to the system and then double-click on the file to install the
console software.
To start the console, select Start > Programs > HP Scalable NAS Management Console
> HP Scalable NAS Management Console.
Linux systems
Copy the console file to the system and then run the following command:
# rpm -i <mountpoint>/mxconsole-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm
To start the Management Console, type the following command:
$ mxconsole
When the Connect window appears, you can log into the cluster.
