To configure the service from the command line, use this command:
mx eventnotifier configurescript --script <pathname>
For more information about notifier scripts, see “Using custom notifier
scripts” on page 246.
View configurations from the command line
The following command can be used to view the events configured for one or more
notifier services:
mx eventnotifier viewconfig [--snmp] [--email] [--script]
With no options, the command displays the configured events for all of the notifier
services.
Test notifier services
The configuration tabs for the SNMP, email, and script notification services contain
a Test button that verifies that events can be sent to the configured notification service.
An error will be reported if the service is disabled or is not configured.
Enable or disable a notifier service
The tabs used to configure the notifier services also have a checkbox to disable the
services. Use this checkbox to disable/enable the services as necessary.
To enable or disable a notifier service from the command line, use these commands:
mx eventnotifier enable [--snmp] [--email] [--script]
mx eventnotifier disable [--snmp] [--email] [--script]
Restore notifier event settings to default values
By default, HP Scalable NAS configures the notification services with the event IDs
that appear as Alerts on the HP Scalable NAS Management Console. Click Restore
Default on the Event Definition window to remove any customizations you have made
and return the event ID configuration to the original HP Scalable NAS settings.
Select the event notifier services that should be restored to the defaults on the following
window.
