UserLimit:Thisvaluespecifiesthenumberofusersthatwillbeallowed
toaccesstheVirtualFileSharesimultaneously.
Maximumisthesystem

differentnumberofusers,selectAllowandthentypethenumberofusers
tobegivenaccess.
Access:CheckthisboxtoenabletheAccess‐basedEnumerationfeature

seeonlythefilesandfolderstowhichtheyhaveaccessonafileshare.
Caching:Offlinecachingallowsuserstocachefilesandprogramsfrom
thesharetotheirlocalmachines.Therearethreeoptions:
•Onlythefilesandprogramsthatusersspecifywillbeavailable
offline.
Thisoptionletsusersselectthefilesthatwillbeavailableoffline.
•Allfilesandprogramsthatusersopenfromthesharewillbe
automaticallyavailableoffline.Ifyoucheck“Optimizedfor
Performance,”allprogramsareautomaticallycachedandcanberun
locally.Thisfeatureisusefulforfileservers
thathostapplications,asit
reducesnetworktrafficandimprovesserverscalability.
•Filesorprogramsfromthesharewillnotbeavailableoffline.Filesand
programsarenotcachedoffline.
ProbeConfiguration:TheVirtualFileSharemonitorperiodicallyprobes
thehealthoftheVirtualFileShareonthenodewheretheVirtual
CIFS
Serverisactive.Thetimeoutisthemaximumamountoftimethatwillbe
waitedfortheprobetocomplete.Thedefaultvalueisfiveseconds.
Thefrequencyistheinterva loftime,inseconds,atwhichthemonitor
probestheVirtualFileShare.Thedefaultsettingis10seconds.
