Youcanspecifyanewapplicationname,selectanexistingapplication
name,orleavethisfieldblank.However,ifyoudonotassignaname,
MatrixServerwillusetheIPaddressoftheVirtualCIFSServerasthe
applicationname.
Policy:ThepolicydeterminesthefailbackactionthattheVirtualCIFS
Serverwilltakefollowingafailovertoabackupnode.
AUTOFAILBACK.ThispolicyisintendedtoreturntheVirtualCIFS
Servertoitsoriginalconfiguration,orasclosetoitaspossible.After
theVirtualCIFSServerfailsovertoabackupnode,theClusterPulse
processwatchesthehealthofthenodesthatarehigherinthelistof
serversconfiguredfor
thatVirtualCIFSServer.Whenthehealthof
oneofthesenodesisequaltoorgreaterthanthebackup nodewherethe
VirtualCIFSServercurrentlyresides,theVirtualCIFSServerwill
automaticallyattempttofailovertothatnode.
NOFAILBACK.Thispolicyisintendedtominimizefailoversandisthe
default.TheVirtualCIFSServerremainsactive onthebackupnode
untila“healthiernode becomesavailable,atwhichpointtheVirtual
CIFSServerfailsovertothatnode.(Ona“healthiernode,moreof
theservicesassociatedwiththe
VirtualCIFSServerwillbeupthanon
thenodecurrentlyhostingtheVirtualCIFSServer.)
NetworkInterfacesAvailable/Members:Movetheinterfacesonwhich
theVirtualCIFSServershouldbeconfiguredfromtheNetworkInterfaces
AvailablecolumntotheMemberscolumn.Thefirstinterfacethatyou
selectistheprimaryinterface.
