Configuration Overview
WhenCIFSisconfiguredwithMatrixServerandHPPolyServeSoftware,
thedatatobe sharedisstoredonPSFSclusteredfilesystems.Asetof
VirtualFileShares,onepernodeinthematrix,istypicallycreatedfor
eachfilesystem.
HPPolyServeSoftwareuses“VirtualCIFSServers”toprovideCIFS
access
totheVirtualFileShares.ClientsaccesstheVirtualFileSharesvia
theCIFSinterfacetothoseVirtualCIFSServers;theydonotneedtoknow
whichphysicalnodeisprovidingtheservice.
WhenyoucreateaVirtualCIFSServer,youwillneedtoassignittoa
primarynodeand
oneormorebackupnodes.Youcanthenaddoneor
moreVirtualFileSharestotheVirtualCIFSServer.Followingaresome
