•Onlythefilesandprogramsthatusersspecifywillbeavailableoffline.
Thisoptionletsusersselectthefilesthatwillbeavailableoffline.
•Allfilesandprogramsthatusersopenfromthesharewillbe
automaticallyavailableoffline.Ifyoucheck“Optimizedfor
Performance,”allprogramsareautomaticallycachedand
canberun
locally.Thisfeatureisusefulforfileserversthathostapplications,asit
reducesnetworktrafficandimprovesserverscalability.
•Filesorprogramsfromthesharewillnotbeavailableoffline.Filesand
programsarenotcachedoffline.
ProbeConfiguration:TheMatrixFileSharemonitorperiodicallyprobes
thehealth
ofthefileshare.Theti meoutisthemaximumamountoftime
thatwillbewaitedfortheprobetocomplete.Thedefaulttimeoutinterval
is15seconds.
Thefrequencyistheinterva loftime,inseconds,atwhichthemonitor
probesthefileshare.Thedefaultsettingis10seconds.
Servers:SelecttheserversonwhichtheMatrixFileShareshouldbe
configured.Usingthearrows,movetheappropriateserversfromthe
AvailableServerscolumntotheSelectedServerscolumn.
WhenyouclickOK,theMatrixFileShareappearsontheServersand
ApplicationstabsonthePolyServeManagementConsole.
NOTE: IfaMatrixFileShareisconfiguredtoallowsharingits
subdirectories,anasterisk(*)appearsat theendofthepathforthe
MatrixFileShare(forexample,C:\test8\*).Theshared
subdirectoriesarenotdisplayedontheServersorApplications
tabs;however,alertswillbedisplayediftheMatrixFile
Share
monitordetectsaproblemwithasharedsubdirectory.

eachserver.Oneachserver,theMatrixFileSharemonitorisprobingthe
