(In previous releases, HP PolyServe Software for Microsoft SQL Server was called the Matrix Database Solution Pack for SQL Server, or MxDB for SQL Server.) Supersedes MxDB for SQL Server 3.6.0 Enhancements This release provides compatibility with HP PolyServe Matrix Server 3.6.
• Defect 16256. The Applications tab did not indicate whether MS DTC was enabled on a Virtual SQL Server. • Defect 16308. The installer did not verify that a virtualized SQL instance was in maintain mode before installing a service pack or hotfix. • Defect 16370. The -–operational and --maintenance flags provided with the mx vsql status command did not work. • Defect 16571.

An virtualized SQL instance migrated from the 3.4 release to the 3.6 release could not be deleted. • Defect 20110. An attempt to virtualize a SQL Server instance failed with “System error: the security identifier is not allowed to be the owner of this object.” • Defect 20193. The output from the mx vsql status command did not include an enable/disable column. • Defect 20334.

New Active-Passive Architecture In the 3.4 release, MxDB for SQL Server used a Primary-Backup architecture.
